The article discusses how to attract those with disabilities to the physical therapy (PT) profession and support them once they are part of the community. Topics include one of the reasons that the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) House of Delegates adopted a position to support the inclusion of people with disabilities within the PT profession, barriers for entry for disabled people in PT, and advice for PTs and physical therapist assistants who have a colleague with a disability.
