- Additional Information
- Abstract:
A 69-year-old woman experienced hypocalcemia after being given an incorrect dose of zoledronic acid for bone pain. She was also found to have lack of efficacy during treatment with gemcitabine for papillary urothelial carcinoma of the bladder. The woman initially presented with hematuria and severe bone pain, and was diagnosed with high-grade papillary urothelial carcinoma with multiple lytic lesions. Despite the medication error, her condition appeared to improve initially, but her bone pain worsened again and she ultimately passed away 13 months after diagnosis. [Extracted from the article]
