    • Abstract:
This article provides a bibliometric analysis of global research trends and focal points in laser hair removal from 1997 to 2023. Laser hair removal is a technique that targets the melanin in hair follicles to disrupt their stem cells. The study found that research activity in this field surged in the early 2000s but subsequently declined. The United States had the highest number of publications, followed by the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Iran. The study identified four key themes in laser hair removal research: effectiveness and safety, adverse effects and complications, long-term results and improvements, and patient satisfaction. The analysis also highlighted the importance of recent research on patient satisfaction and long-term results and improvements. This study provides a comprehensive summary of current trends in laser hair removal research and can be a valuable resource for academics, clinicians, dermatologists, and policymakers in this field.
