- Abstract: The present research focused on implementing gamification strategies to improve autonomous learning of History in vocational technical high school students. A quantitative, descriptive, and longitudinal approach was adopted, using a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest tests. The results showed a significant increase in students' motivation and understanding after the implementation of gamification strategies, with a notable improvement in post-test scores compared to pre-test scores. With all this, the main conclusion was reached that gamification is an effective tool to enhance autonomous learning in History, evidencing a positive change in students' commitment and knowledge retention. - Abstract: La presente investigación se enfocó en implementar estrategias de gamificación para mejorar el aprendizaje autónomo de Historia en estudiantes de bachillerato técnico profesional. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo y longitudinal, utilizando un diseño cuasi-experimental con pruebas de pretest y postest. Los resultados mostraron un incremento significativo en la motivación y comprensión de los estudiantes después de la implementación de las estrategias de gamificación, con una mejora notable en los puntajes de postest en comparación con los de pretest. Con todo ello, se llegó a la conclusión principal respecto a que la gamificación es una herramienta efectiva para potenciar el aprendizaje autónomo en Historia, evidenciando un cambio posit ivo en el compromiso y la retención de conocimientos de los estudiantes.
