Dr. Michael Dominello is the Medical Director of Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and Medical Director for Quality at the Karmanos Cancer Network. He has made significant improvements to surgery processes at the Karmanos Cancer Institute and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles on patient care. His team has introduced changes to surgery preparation and developed a radiation delivery method that minimizes doses to the heart when treating certain breast cancers. Dr. Dominello has also led and designed studies within Karmanos, including investigational therapy for brain tumor patients and a drug study to decrease headaches in Gamma Knife radiosurgery patients.
