- Additional Information
- Abstract:
This article discusses a case of a benign asymptomatic doughnut-like lesion of the mandible. The patient, a 20-year-old White male, sought dental care for a carious lesion on his lower left second premolar. Upon examination, it was discovered that the patient had a dilated odontoma, which is a rare anomaly of tooth development characterized by the dilation of the crown and root. The patient underwent surgical removal of the lesion and supernumerary teeth and experienced a successful recovery. The article emphasizes the importance of accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment for this rare dental anomaly. [Extracted from the article]
