- Abstract:
A study by air conditioning firm Daiken found that more than a third of Brits struggle in the sun and only 18% claim to thrive in the heat. To help people stay comfortable this summer, the article provides several tips, including freezing bedding, taking cool showers, using lower thread count cotton, hydrating before exercising, cooling wrists and ankles, freezing hot water bottles, sleeping on your side, creating airflow in your home, watching what you eat, limiting alcohol consumption, and choosing a breathable mattress. The article also offers exercises to manage hot flushes during menopause, such as coherent breathing and focusing on the present. [Extracted from the article]
