    • Abstract:
The Covid-19 pandemic, which has swept rapidly across the globe, compelled governments worldwide to implement social restrictions and regional lockdowns to curb the escalating spread of the virus. These measures have significantly impacted various industries, including the petrochemical sector. Since the beginning of 2020, petrochemical and chemical companies have experienced a substantial decline in their stock values. Additionally, these companies have faced supply and demand constraints due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The global reduction in oil refinery production has led to a decreased supply of raw materials (LPG, naphtha, etc.) for the petrochemical industry, prompting producers to consider adjusting their production volumes. As the largest petrochemical industry in Indonesia, PT. Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. has undoubtedly felt the domino effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Previous research has not specifically focused on the petrochemical industry located in Cilegon; hence, this study aims to fill that scholarly gap. The research seeks to calculate and understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the financial performance of petrochemical companies through liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and profitability ratios. The pandemic has influenced the financial performance of the petrochemical industry, with liquidity ratios, including current ratio, quick ratio, and cash ratio, experiencing a significant increase. Solvency ratios, comprising debt to asset ratio and debt to equity ratio, show a relatively insignificant decrease. Lastly, profitability ratios, including net profit margin, return on assets, and return on equity, demonstrate a significant decline. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
