    • Abstract:
A new report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi discusses the challenges and outcomes of mechanical thrombectomy in the M2 divisions of the middle cerebral artery (MCA). The study analyzed 15 patients with M2 segment occlusions and found a successful recanalization rate of 72.33%, with higher success observed in cases of inferior division occlusion. The research concludes that mechanical thrombectomy is an effective treatment option for M2 MCA division occlusion, particularly in cases of inferior division occlusion. Further information on this research can be found in the journal article published by Acta Medica Lituanica. [Extracted from the article]
