      The article discusses a study by Margerison and colleagues which evaluated changes in five categories of pregnancy-associated death during the first two years of COVID-19 pandemic. Topics include racial/ethnic disparities in each of the incidental or accidental causes, significant increases in different types of pregnancy-associated deaths during the first two years of the pandemic, and a template of evaluations of inequities provided by the researchers outside the perinatal space.
