      The United States furniture market experienced a 4% decrease in exports in 2023, reversing the previous year's 4% increase. Canada remained the largest customer for U.S. furniture, although its imports were down 4%. Mexico and the United Kingdom also saw declines in furniture imports from the U.S. On the positive side, the U.S. increased its exports to Saudi Arabia by 61%, while China also saw a 20% increase in furniture imports from the U.S. Overall, there were significant declines in categories such as mattresses and wood frame upholstered chairs, but some growth in metal frame upholstered seats.
