    • Abstract:
This article, published in PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, raises concerns about the accuracy of Figure 1. The bands in certain lanes appear similar and have similar patterns within the background when color levels are adjusted. The corresponding author disagreed with some of the concerns but acknowledged that an incorrect image was used for one lane and the original image for another lane is no longer available. The raw data provided confirmed the presence of bands of the expected sizes, but also revealed additional bands not visible in the published figure. The editors issue an Expression of Concern and advise readers to review the supporting data. [Extracted from the article]
