    • Abstract:
A recent study conducted by the University of Sydney in Australia aimed to assess the current practices in diagnosing and intervening in pediatric obesity in Australian hospitals. The study found that there is a lack of a unified approach in identifying and addressing children with obesity in individual hospitals. While 66% of respondents address weight issues, only 8% consistently refer patients to appropriate outpatient services. The study suggests the need for a national protocol to address pediatric obesity in hospitals and to provide a more unified response to this issue. [Extracted from the article]
