    • Abstract:
A recent study conducted in China has found that insulin resistance (IR) can impair the effectiveness of biologic agents in treating moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. The study, based on a prospective cohort design, analyzed data from 290 patients and found that those with high IR had lower response rates to treatment compared to those with low IR. The findings suggest that IR is associated with reduced effectiveness of biologics in psoriasis patients. Further research is needed to better understand the relationship between IR and psoriasis treatment. [Extracted from the article]
