- Abstract: The article discusses concern on the rise in economic inactivity rate in the United Kingdom for December 2023 to February 2024 for those aged 16-64 years of age. Topics include long-term sickness as the main reason for economic inactivity, the projected increase of people with long-term illness, and results of an annual staff survey undertaken by the National Health Service, published in March 2024.
