    • Abstract:
The Brower Youth Awards, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, recognizes the leadership efforts of young activists aged 13 to 23 who are working to protect the environment. The awards were established by the Earth Island Institute in 2000, fulfilling the wish of environmentalist David Brower to give young people a platform to have their voices heard. Over the past 25 years, the awards have been given to 147 young activists who have worked on projects related to wildlife habitat protection, clean energy initiatives, Indigenous land protection, and more. The awards not only recognize the achievements of these young leaders but also provide them with support and training to continue their work. [Extracted from the article]
