      Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la actitud de la justicia en el reino de Navarra frente a los crímenes más violentos, en el contexto de los siglos XVI y XVII. Se trató de una justicia que poseía importantes armas de disuasión como las penas de muerte o galeras, pero que en rara ocasión llegó a aplicarlas. El texto analiza tanto la legislación navarra sobre estos crímenes como su aplicación práctica gracias a los cientos de procesos sobre agresión con resultado de muerte conservados en el Archivo General de Navarra.       This work aims to analyze the administration of justice in the Kingdom of Navarre concerning severe crimes during 16th and 17th centuries. Despite possessing significant deterrents such as death penalties and penal servitude, the justice system seldom implemented them. The research scrutinizes both the legislative framework regarding these crimes in Navarre and its practical application, drawing insights from numerous archival records of cases involving fatal aggression preserved in the General Archive of Navarre.
