- Additional Information
- Abstract:
A 71-year-old woman experienced phrenic nerve paralysis after receiving treatment with bupivacaine for an interscalene block. The woman had known hypertension and was scheduled for surgery for a muscle tear. After receiving the bupivacaine injection, she developed phrenic nerve paralysis, which was confirmed through ultrasound scans. However, her diaphragm movements eventually recovered, and she was transferred to the ward with improved oxygen levels. [Extracted from the article]
