- Abstract:
A report from Guangzhou Sport University in Guangdong, China explores the age effects of the sport education model (SEM) on the basic psychological needs and intrinsic motivation of adolescent students. The study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of relevant literature and found that SEM has a positive and statistically significant impact on the basic psychological needs and intrinsic motivation of adolescent students. However, the study also revealed that the impact of SEM diminishes with increasing age, suggesting age effects on the effectiveness of the model. This research provides valuable insights into the potential benefits and limitations of SEM in enhancing the psychological well-being of adolescent students. [Extracted from the article]
