The article focuses on revolutionizing materials discovery through a distributed, AI-guided approach, integrating synthesis, characterization, and testing across multiple geographical sites via a central cloud hub, facilitating global design-make-test-analyze loops for organic solid-state lasers (OSLs). Leveraging iterative Suzuki–Miyaura couplings and a building block–based strategy, the study demonstrates the asynchronous, closed-loop discovery of small-molecule gain materials for OSLs.
