    • Abstract:
A Muslim family from Boston, Massachusetts, decided to move to Spain to escape the burnout of their demanding jobs and to experience a slower pace of life and Islamic history. The mother, Isra Hashmi, had a health scare that made her realize the need for a change. The family made the decision to move to Spain, where the father could work remotely and the children could learn Spanish. They found a home in Granada and were featured on an episode of "House Hunters International" that highlighted their faith as the driving force behind their move. The family enjoyed the vibrant Muslim community in Granada and the lower cost of living compared to the US. After two years, they decided to move back to the US to be closer to family. Isra Hashmi wrote a book about simple living for Muslim women and started a Facebook group to create a community around this idea. [Extracted from the article]
