    • Abstract:
Ransomware attacks are a growing threat to businesses, especially in industrial production. Although they do not directly cause damage to machines or production processes, they can still lead to disruptions. The spread of Ethernet-based networks and protocols facilitates the spread of malware. Therefore, companies must take both external and internal security measures to protect themselves against ransomware attacks. The IEC 62443-3-3 addresses various aspects of industrial cybersecurity, and companies such as Siemens, Indu-Sol, and Pilz offer solutions to ensure security in industrial facilities. It is emphasized that one hundred percent security is not possible, but companies should take measures to protect themselves against cyber attacks. [Extracted from the article]
