    • Abstract:
During the summer, employees at a dry-cleaning business in Connecticut open their doors to cool down, inadvertently creating a pathway for female eastern painted turtles to march through the store. These turtles are on their way to lay eggs in a marsh behind the store, and later in the summer, the hatchlings make their way back through the store to reach a nearby pond. To ensure their safety, employees and customers carefully pick up the small turtles and carry them across a busy road. This unique phenomenon showcases the coexistence of humans and wildlife in the area. [Extracted from the article]
