- Additional Information
- Abstract:
This article compares two different techniques, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), for the treatment of rectal lesions involving the dentate line. The study found that ESD had higher rates of en bloc resection and complete resection compared to EMR. Additionally, ESD had a higher curative resection rate for low-risk adenocarcinomas and a lower rate of local recurrence compared to EMR. Based on these findings, the authors suggest that ESD should be considered the treatment of choice for these types of tumors. [Extracted from the article]
