    • Abstract:
The article discusses the restructuring of the U.S. Marine Corps to focus on the Pacific and Indian Ocean regions. The new Marine Littoral Regiment (MLR) consists of 1,800-2,000 Marines and Sailors and includes a Littoral Combat Team, a Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, and a Combat Logistics Battalion. The MLR's missions include anti-ship fires, intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance, air defense, and early warning. Unmanned systems will play a crucial role in their operations. The Marines are transitioning to an all-domain mobile reconnaissance approach, integrating assets like unmanned aerial systems and littoral mobility. They are also developing the Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle program to replace current vehicles. The Marines are focused on enhancing their reconnaissance capabilities in maritime, air, and cyber domains. [Extracted from the article]
