The Russian Defense Ministry expressed a willingness to engage in dialogue based on a 2022 deal proposed by Russia in Istanbul, which was rejected by Kyiv. The French Defense Ministry did not mention discussions on possible talks but condemned Russia's "war of aggression" in Ukraine and pledged continued support for Kyiv. Both Russia and Ukraine have not shown any signs of returning to negotiations, with Russian President Vladimir Putin insisting on talks based on the "realities on the ground."
