    • Abstract:
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed "smart gloves" that use haptic technology to teach piano and other hands-on skills. The gloves have tactile sensors woven into the fabric, which record a pianist's hand movements while playing a song and then relay those movements to a student through fingertip vibrations. The study found that students who practiced with the gloves were able to play more accurately than those who did not. The gloves also showed potential in aiding people playing online games and could potentially be used to teach crucial practices such as surgeries in the future. [Extracted from the article]
