- Abstract: Gaming is no longer just a recreational activity, but also a potential therapeutic tool for improving physical and mental well-being. Recent studies have shown that gaming can have positive effects on physical fitness, cognitive function, and brain development. Exergaming, which combines exercise and gaming, has been particularly effective in enhancing cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and coordination. Games like Pokémon Go can also improve psychological health and social outcomes. Additionally, gaming can foster social interaction and combat feelings of loneliness. However, it is important to moderate gaming and consider potential risks, such as musculoskeletal issues and exacerbation of mental health conditions. Overall, gaming has the potential to promote health and well-being when approached mindfully. [Extracted from the article]
