- Abstract:
The article reports on a study conducted in Mexico that investigated the association between the number of symptom days in pediatric patients with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) and the presence of ectasias or aneurysms in the coronary arteries. 91 patients with MIS-C were identified, of which 34 presented these lesions. It was observed that patients with a longer duration of symptoms had a higher risk of coronary artery lesions. Additionally, significant differences were found in symptoms and laboratory results among patients of different ages. The study suggests that the occurrence of coronary artery lesions increases with the duration of symptoms in MIS-C. [Extracted from the article]
