    • Abstract:
In October 2023, Israeli and Palestinian women from two grassroots peace organizations came together in Jerusalem to demand an end to the violence and a nonviolent resolution to their conflict. However, just three days later, a massacre by Hamas militants resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people in Israel, including three members of the Israeli organization Women Wage Peace. Since then, the situation has worsened, with increased violence in the West Bank and Gaza. Both organizations believe that a mutually agreed-upon, nonviolent resolution is crucial, and they continue to work together despite the challenges. They were jointly nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize and have been advocating for a return to negotiations and political agreements. [Extracted from the article]
