    • Abstract:
Stanford University's Community College Outreach Program (CCOP) aims to bridge the gap between community colleges and STEM professions by offering research internships and summer boot camps for underrepresented students. The program recruits participants from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation and low-income students. CCOP provides mentorship and professional development opportunities to help students successfully transfer to four-year institutions and succeed in STEM fields. Mentors also undergo diversity, equity, and inclusion training to foster an inclusive research environment. CCOP is entirely run by a team of passionate Stanford students.
