    • Abstract:
A recent study compared the prevalence of cardiovascular (CV) comorbidities in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) from Belgium and Italy. The study found that Italian patients had a higher prevalence of arterial hypertension (AH), type 2 diabetes (T2D), and CV diseases compared to Belgian patients. After controlling for confounders, Italian patients had a higher risk of being hypertensive. The study suggests that further research is needed to understand the potential geographic and sociocultural factors that contribute to cardiovascular risk in PsA patients.
