      In the article "Editorial" in the Library Service from February 2024, Karin Holste-Flinspach provides a retrospective on the history and development of the profession of Media and Information Services Assistants (FaMI), as well as an outlook on the current development. Michael Fischer from the Baden State Library and Barbara Koelges from the State Library Center Rhineland-Palatinate present various models for further qualification of FaMIs. Claudia Büchel from the Neuss City Library describes how the city library meets the criteria for the "Neuss barrier-free" seal.       In dem Artikel "Editorial" im Bibliotheksdienst vom Februar 2024 gibt Karin Holste-Flinspach einen Rückblick auf die Entstehungsgeschichte und Entwicklung des Berufs der Fachangestellten für Medien und Informationsdienste (FaMI) sowie einen Ausblick auf die derzeitige Entwicklung. Michael Fischer von der Badischen Landesbibliothek und Barbara Koelges vom Landesbibliothekszentrum Rheinland-Pfalz stellen verschiedene Modelle der Weiterqualifizierung von FaMIs vor. Claudia Büchel von der Stadtbibliothek Neuss beschreibt, wie die Stadtbücherei die Kriterien für das Signet "Neuss barrierefrei" erfüllt.
