    • Abstract:
According to a 1974 article in Science News, researchers have been using computers to teach themselves how to sort compounds and find cancer drugs. The article mentions that modern computers with advanced artificial intelligence can go beyond sifting through known compounds and help scientists design new molecules and predict their reactions with proteins in the body. However, the technology is still in its early stages, and while an AI-developed cancer drug trial was launched in 2021, the drug was ultimately shelved in 2023 after proving to be ineffective. Other AI cancer drugs are currently being tested. [Extracted from the article]
