- Abstract:
The article discusses the diagnosis of Synovitis, Acne, Pustulosis, Hyperostosis, and Osteitis (SAPHO) syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by bone hyperostosis and osteitis. The early diagnosis of SAPHO syndrome is challenging due to the lack of specific biomarkers and remarkable biochemical tests. Various imaging techniques, such as X-ray, bone scintigraphy, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET)/CT, are used to diagnose and differentiate SAPHO syndrome from other diseases. The article emphasizes the importance of combining clinical manifestations with imaging presentations to support the diagnosis of SAPHO syndrome. [Extracted from the article]
