    • Abstract:
Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. has hired Elizabeth Coolidge, a veteran Chicago banker, as the head of public finance. Coolidge previously led the Midwest public finance business at UBS, which closed its muni business in October. Coolidge will be joining a team of women leaders at Oppenheimer, including Beth Wolchock and Cynthia Henry Pinto. The hires come at a time of retrenchment in the Wall Street industry, but Coolidge is optimistic about the future and expects more opportunities in 2024. Oppenheimer has predicted that issuance will increase by 12% next year. [Extracted from the article]
