    • Abstract:
A new antibiotic called Zosurabalpin has been discovered that can kill a type of bacteria called Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB), which is considered a serious threat to human health. CRAB bacteria have a tough outer shell that makes them difficult to kill, but Zosurabalpin prevents the bacteria from building this shell, making them more vulnerable to destruction. The antibiotic has shown promising results in tests on mice and is now being tested on humans. While it may take years before the medicine is available, this discovery is considered exciting and could potentially be used against other bacteria. Additionally, a study has found that a daily mixture of prebiotics and probiotics can help treat long Covid symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
