      Background: The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on a learning crisis in children. More than 120 countries have implemented social interaction restrictions through school closures, affecting over 1.6 million students worldwide, spread across 166 countries, including Indonesia. Objective: This community service activity aims to improve School-Age Children's (SAC) nutritional knowledge and English language skills during the COVID-19 pandemic era. Method: This activity was carried out in six sessions from January 19 to February 6, 2021, in Wonokriyo Village, Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. The target of this activity was 24 students in grades 3-6. Students were provided with nutrition education and English language learning using lectures and game methods, along with various media, including booklets, PowerPoint presentations, flashcards, songs, and educational games. Student knowledge data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The data analysis included univariate data and the calculation of the proportion of knowledge increase. Results: The average age of the respondents was 10.5 ± 0.9 years, with the majority being female students in the fourth grade of elementary school. The highest average increase in children's nutritional knowledge was observed in the topic of "tumpeng" balanced nutrition, with an increase of 45.3 ± 13.6 points, from 38.7 ± 10.9 points to 84.0 ± 9.5 points. The average knowledge of children's English also improved, rising from 41.0 ± 10.4 points to 78.0 ± 6.8 points, with an average change of 37 ± 9.0 points. Conclusion: Nutrition education activities and English language learning, conducted through lectures and game methods over six sessions, effectively improved SAC's nutritional knowledge and English language skills. The use of lectures and games with various interesting media effectively increased children's interest in learning, resulting in increased knowledge. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Latar belakang: Adanya pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada krisis pembelajaran pada anak. Lebih dari 120 negara telah memberlakukan pembatasan interaksi sosial melalui penutupan sekolah yang berdampak pada 1,6 juta siswa di seluruh dunia yang tersebar di 166 negara, termasuk Indonesia. Tujuan: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Anak Usia Sekolah (AUS) tentang ilmu gizi dan meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris di era Pandemi Covid-19. Metode: Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebanyak enam pertemuan dari tanggal 19 Januari - 6 Februari 2021, di Dusun Wonokriyo, Kecamatan Gading Rejo, Kabupaten Pringsewu, Lampung. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah AUS kelas 3 - 6 sebanyak 24 orang. Anak diberikan edukasi gizi dan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan metode ceramah dan games dengan berbagai media antara lain booklet, power point, flash cards, lagu, dan permainan edukatif. Data pegetahuan siswa diperoleh dari kuesioner pre-test dan post-test. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah data univariat dan persentase peningkatan pengetahuan. Hasil: Rata-rata usia responden adalah 10.5 ± 0.9 tahun, sebagian besar berjenis kelamin perempuan dan menduduki kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Rata-rata peningkatan pengetahuan gizi anak tertinggi pada topik tumpeng gizi seimbang yakni sebesar 45.3 ± 13.6 poin dari 38.7 ± 10.9 poin menjadi 84.0 ± 9.5 poin. Rata-rata pengetahuan Bahasa Inggris anak juga meningkat yakni dari 41.0 ± 10.4 poin menjadi 78.0 ± 6.8 poin dengan rata-rata perubahan sebesar 37 ± 9.0 poin. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan edukasi gizi dan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan metode ceramah dan games yang dilakukan secara berkala selama enam pertemuan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi dan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris AUS. Penggunaan metode ceramah dan games dengan berbagai media yang menarik secara efektif meningkatkan minat anak dalam belajar sehingga terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
