Background: The government has prioritized controlling the spread of the COVID-19 virus in North Musi Rawas Regency by strengthening surveillance efforts. One of the strategies employed to enhance the surveillance system is contact tracing using the Silacak application. Community members are involved as tracers utilizing the Silacak application. Objective: This activity aims to improve COVID-19 contact tracing by community tracers using the Silacak application in North Musi Rawas District. Method: This community service activity involves socialization, application training, and direct contact tracing by tracers utilizing the Silacak application. It follows a health program management approach, encompassing initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation phases. Results: Socialization and application training took place on August 24, 2021, at Sederhana restaurant hall in Muara Rupit Village, Sumatera, from 08:00 to 12:30 WIB. Tracer monitoring occurred from August to December 2021. The 69 participants included health cadres, Babinsa, and Bhabinkamtibmas. The results indicate that the Surulangun Puskesmas tracer conducted the highest percentage of close contact monitoring, reaching 54.14% of the expected number, with 51.49% of close contacts monitored. Each health center monitored fewer close contacts compared to the previous month. Conclusion: Tracer performance in close contact monitoring using the Silacak application has not been optimal due to various challenges, including tracer comprehension, signal interference during data entry, additional responsibilities for Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas, and negative community responses.
