- Abstract:
Neuroaesthetics, a science-based metric that interprets subconscious brain signals, is predicted to be embraced by more fashion and beauty companies in the future. Neuromarketing consultancy Beyond Reason has already used neuroaesthetic research methods to identify factors influencing purchasing decisions and product preferences. By collaborating with neuroscientists, Beyond Reason has helped a sporting goods firm develop a successful hybrid shoe model and a beauty firm create a custom-calibrated sound for their lipstick tube. While neuroaesthetics is still an experimental methodology, it holds promise as an additional tool beyond creative talent and gut feeling. [Extracted from the article]
