    • Abstract:
This article discusses the impact of the Munich Olympic hostage crisis in 1972 on the emergence of the terrorism framework, which shapes how acts of terrorism are understood, responded to, and prevented. The author argues that this framework perpetuates political violence by exceptionalizing it and failing to address its root causes. The article also examines how the terrorism framework has been manipulated, particularly in Israel's policy towards Gaza, and emphasizes the need for genuine understanding and a shift away from vengeance towards justice in order to break the cycle of violence.
