      El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el desarrollo del campo académico de la historia del turismo, particularmente en el Perú, describiendo cómo se fue constituyendo, dando cuenta de los principales autores y obras que han contribuido a su gestación. Además, se presentan los aportes de un grupo de textos que acompañan el número de la revista. Se concluye que, como nuevo campo para la investigación, se requiere de una mayor profundización en algunas temáticas esenciales. Es pertinente incorporar nuevas líneas de investigación.       The primary aim of this study is to examine the development of the academic field of tourism history, particularly in Peru, by describing its formation and highlighting the key authors and works that have contributed to its emergence. Additionally, we present the contributions of a group of texts accompanying this journal issue. It is concluded that, as a nascent research field, there is a need for deeper exploration of certain essential themes. Incorporating new lines of research is pertinent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
