Abstract: This study aims to identify the political function of digital media in Palestine, by identifying the nature of political content in the Palestinian digital media, knowing the most prominent topics on which the study sites are based, the primary and journalistic sources that these sites use, and the geographical scope of the political function and the methods used. The study also sought to identify the aspects of agreements and differences in dealing with the political function in the study sites, determining the performance and evaluation of the communicators in these sites, in addition to knowing their suggestions towards developing the political function in the Palestinian digital media. This descriptive research used the survey studies method, within which content analysis and the practice methods survey method were followed, and the method of reciprocal relations, within its framework systematic comparison was conducted. The study relied on the Agenda Setting theory and the Communicator theory. The study sample included the Palestinian websites of the Palestine Today News Agency, the Palestinian Press Agency Safa, and Ma'an News Agency, and the study spanned over a three-month period from September 1, 2021 to November 1, 2021, using the comprehensive survey method. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which were the following: The results showed that the number of topics of the political function of digital media in Palestine at Ma’an website reached (180) at a rate of (45%), while it reached (120) topics at a rate of (30%) at Safa website,The political job ranked first in the functions category at a rate of (62.5%) with (250) recurrences, followed by the news function in the second rank at (37%) with (148) recurrences, then the educational function in the third place at (0.5%) with two recurrences. The advertising, entertainment, and other functions did not get any recurrence, Political issues came in the first place at a rate of (62.5%) and (250) recurrences, followed by social issues at a rate of (17.2%) and (69) recurrences, then health issues in third place at (11.3%) with (45) recurrences. Based on these results, the study made several recommendations, the most important of which are as follows: The need to include a tab specialized in political news on Palestinian websites, instead of other tabs of less importance, and to support them by the various relevant institutions and bodies and encourage those in charge of them, The necessity of identifying and paying attention to the political function of digital media in Palestine, Maintaining diversity in presenting political journalistic topics to the digital media in Palestine in different frames, so that they are not limited to the frame of interest in the first place and thus achieve greater benefit for the public.
