      Ramón Villares, Teresa María Ortega and Toni Morant represent three generations of historians who are prominent specialists in different fields of modern history. They share their thoughts on core issues raised by current disciplinary transformations in historical science, shifts in practices, and new professional commitments. Their points of view and orientation proposals must be placed in the context of the uncertain future of the field of history in the wake of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.       En representación de tres generaciones de historiadores, Ramón Villares, Teresa María Ortega y Toni Morant, reconocidos especialistas en diferentes campos de la historia contemporánea, reflexionan sobre algunas cuestiones clave suscitadas por las transformaciones disciplinares de la ciencia histórica, los cambios en las prácticas comunitarias y en los compromisos profesionales. Los puntos de vista y propuestas de orientación de los autores se sitúan en el incierto futuro de la historia, tras el impacto de la pandemia del COVID-19.
