    • Abstract:
A phytochemical investigation on the ethanol extract from the fruiting bodies of Ganoderma tsugae resulted in the isolation of two undescribed lanostane triterpenoids, lanosta-8,24E-dien-3,7,11-trioxo-26,27-dihydroxy (1) and 22,23,24,25,26,27-hexanorlanosta-7,9(11)-dien-3β-acetyloxy-15-hydroxy-20-oxo (2). Their structures were determined by spectral methods such as 1D and 2D (1H–1H COSY, HMQC, NOESY, and HMBC) NMR spectroscopy, in addition to high-resolution mass spectrometry. The in vitro pharmacological studies revealed 2 possessed antibacterial activity against 5 anaerobic bacteria with MIC values less than 30 μg/mL. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
