    • Abstract:
Scott Wilson, a New Zealand father, shares his experience of using trail running as a way to cope with the grief of losing his baby boy, Charlie, eight years ago. Scott initially buried his emotions and focused on the practical aspects of dealing with the loss. However, he now regrets not prioritizing his own mental health and is raising money for the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand through running. Despite physical challenges in his first two major events, Scott's mental resilience remained strong, and he is determined to continue improving his mental health through his running endeavors.
