      The article reports that the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded an $82.6 million contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. for the third phase of the LongShot project, aiming to develop an unmanned jet fighter-bomber with the capability to launch from piloted aircraft and fire several air-to-air weapons to extend engagement ranges and reduce risks to manned aircraft.
