Security culture in the context of populist ideologies and the post-truth society. (English)

The accelerated development of media technologies in the last decade has not received an adequate response from society as a whole regarding the implementation of a set of ethical norms and legal regulations. This suggests that the environment in which information is created and disseminated has become distorted, allowing for the proliferation of fake news and the multiplication of populist messages. This article highlights how populist ideologies, amplified by the cultural paradigm of post-truth and fact-free societies, impact security culture by altering the Overton Window. This manipulation of public opinion changes the priorities and directions of security policy. Simultaneously, the article proposes a series of measures to counter fake news and the manipulation of public opinion through populist messages. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Dezvoltarea accelerată a tehnologiilor media din ultima decadă a rămas fără un răspuns adecvat din partea societăţii, în ansamblu, cu privire la implementarea unui set de norme etice şi de reglementări legale, sugerând faptul că mediul în care sunt create şi diseminate informaţiile a devenit un mediu distorsionat, care a permis proliferarea de ştiri false şi a mesajelor de tip populist. Acest articol pune în evidenţă modul în care ideologiile de tip populist, amplificate de paradigma culturală de tip postadevăr şi a societăţilor fact free, afectează cultura de securitate prin alterarea Overton Window, în sensul manipulării opiniei publice prin schimbarea priorităților și direcțiilor politicii de securitate. Totodată, articolul propune o serie de măsuri pentru contracarea ştirilor false şi a manipulării opiniei publice prin mesaje de tip populist. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
