    • Abstract:
This article focuses on information related to different journals. In "International Journal of Information Ethics," writers Rafael Capurro and two colleagues have founded a new periodical that is similar in intent to the "Journal of Information Ethics." The major difference is that the journal, which is sponsored by the International Center for Information Ethics, is only available online. Articles on any aspect of ethics in relation to digital production and reproduction are offered in English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Material is peer reviewed by the advisory board members. There is no charge to subscribe. In the pamplet "2003 Round-Up: Reporters Within Borders," some horrifying data are offered on the plight of journalist. In 2003, 501 media were censored, 1460 journalists were threatened or attacked; 766 were arrested; and 42 were killed. Censorship of both hard copy and electronic media is an ongoing problem. In the article "Opponents Say Republicans Plan Sequel to Patriot Act," published in the September 23, 2004 issue of the journal "New York Times," concerned people are warning against new initiatives by members of the United States.-- Congress who want to create another law that will broaden surveillance power.
