Statistical study of book censorship for adults in Spain between 1951 and 1975. (English)
    • Abstract:
This study analyses the censorship of adult books in Spain (1951-1975), the evolution of censorial activity, revised topics and statistics on written opinions. This data provides information on the organization and internal operation of the censorial system. The method used is quantitative, permitting the cross-tabulating of variables based on correlations. One of the most relevant conclusions is the discovery of a point inflection in censorship that coincides with the enactment of the Press Law (1966). Given that criteria were not sufficiently fixed, permission to publish depended to a large extent on the interpretation of the censors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
    • Abstract:
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
